Maggots? Little red willies? Nope… these are apparently yams. Little red yams.
I picked these up in the supermarket here in NZ (bless you and your weird, cheap, food Pak n Save) got them home and had to google what they were and how to cook them.
Turns out they are delicious when roasted for 25 mins in a little olive oil, garlic salt and a smattering of mixed herbs.
