“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well” – Virginia Woolf
There are seven night markets in Auckland – all free entry – which showcase a range of different cuisines, in this case Korean, Thai, Japanese and Hungarian, as well as ‘typical’ Kiwi BBQ.
Because we went towards the end of the night we avoided most of the crowds, and a lot of the dishes were reduced in price (cha-ching!). I was stuffed after some pesto Hungarian bread, veggie pad thai and homemade iced tea (plus all the popcorn in the cinema).
I enjoyed the film as well, and while I’ll stop short of a full movie review, I have to say that I found Skarsgård’s portrayal of Pennywise a lot creepier than Tim Curry’s in the original film. Having said that, I don’t think Pennywise was anywhere near as scary as the adults that the children had to deal with in the film, and who ignore the horrible things happening to the young people around them.
Fab evening of new discoveries and full bellies – 4 out of 5 stars
