On Helping Others…

Originally this post was written about volunteering, but it seemed pertinent to repost this again in light of recent news events.

At the time of posting, I had been in a debate with a friend, where we questioned what makes us humans altruistic.

This led me to ask – is altruism is something innate in us? Are we are programmed to help others as a natural consequence of being alive? Or is it, that in order to function in a civil society, that we have learnt to help others? Continue reading “On Helping Others…”
