The Art of Banksy Exhibition

Last weekend I went to see the Art of Banksy exhibition in Auckland. For a mere $37.50 (ahem – see below), you can go and point your eyes at around 80 Banksy originals. Until the 6th of February anyway.

Now I’m a big fan of social commentary, anarchy, art, and Banksy’s work in general, but I have to say I wasn’t exactly blown away by the exhibition.

#53 World Press Photo Exhibition 2017

Today’s new thing was a visit with a friend to see the World Press Photo Exhibition 2017.

# 21: Painting Audrey

Ok, so yesterday’s ‘new thing’ brushed off on me (geddit?), so today I took my brush to the canvas instead of the wall and knocked together a quick little Audrey Hepburn stencil type painting.

OK, not very skilled, and clearly copied from an image I found on the internet but still, I hadn’t painted for a long while so it was nice that this was a new thing for today.

For getting back into my art – 4 out of 5 stars
