# 32: Watched Once Were Warriors

Finally got round to watching Once Were Warriors, a classic Kiwi film, and harrowing to say the least.

Part love story, part domestic violence expose, part story about alcoholism and hardship, it’s a harrowing watch. But I recommend seeing it, if only to see the ‘other’ side of NZ life – the one not featured on the tourist board posters.

Sad, heartbreaking film so I rate the experience – 2 out of 5 stars
